pengep In truth I don’t have a favourite but as a standout My Sky is Always Red is my current “go to” track. Paper Cowboys are what I was looking for in music right now. Fresh, Original and Deep. With over 40 odd years of music to fall back on Paper Cowboys are a very welcome addition to my taste, collection need for new exciting inviting music to discover and appreciate. I am sold! Favorite track: My Sky is Always Red.

River Roar 03:32
Can you hear the river roar close to the seashore waiting for years with joy and tears On the darkest shore Believe turn on the tape Give me hope give me escape I brought the light I brought the dawn I’m Lucifer I’m the swan All that love we knew Nobody Ever Says Thank You Look! There’s the lighthouse glare We need to run I’m just so scared
3.
Fire all around hotter than the sun Do you know who I am? Said the man with a gun Shadow on fire "blood on my hands" these shadows of blue Run to the Badlands what happened to you? Eyes shine too bright A few even smile I pleaded don’t stare a few even cried
4.
Oh sweetheart Tattoos with your name Words on my skin That always spells blame Hide your hands Live inside your head where Angels fear to tread Will this fever Ever leave me Concrete castles Surrounding me I dream of warm days Just like on TV Here comes redemption But she truly believed The Blood on the floor Meant she was deceived
5.
You Know Me 03:01
My dreams closing in today break them down And getaway You said You knew me You said You knew me look in the sky I want to believe A strangers hand She said she knew me When you’ve nothing You’ve nothing to fear When you’re something Well you’re dying in here Looking back The good times rolled But now you're smiling Cos its winter and you’re cold
6.
I feel shame, on the outside Closed my eyes Wishing you’d lied The reckoning Mars on the rise The sound of laughter As you wiped your eyes I cried out when things got loud Please don't hurt my pride I had money then I had none waiting for the last ride When we last met remember I tried but now it’s too late so late it’s almost light you run a wolf at night lick your lips grin then bite Is this All that remains Empty bottles Hope in chains But I can see A brighter way See that light We’ll be there one day

about

This is the first group of songs released by the band. It represents a short novella set in the 1950s.

The hero is trying to escape with the love of his life. Their car is heading for a boat moored ay the coast. But doubt hangs in the air. Can the hero justify himself?

As they near their destiny the truth starts to spill out.

Will his love stand by him?
